Vehicle Survivability

In a fast-evolving world with ever-changing demands, military, security and humanitarian aid vehicles frequently serve multiple roles, and may need special adaptations to carry out the variety of tasks required of them. These may include the addition of appliqué armour for blast and ballistic protection, new seating and stowage systems, or the fitting of electronic protective measures.

Marshall has many years of experience in adapting vehicles to provide complete integrated vehicle systems. We have a proven track record of delivering complex projects with short lead times. We focus on customer satisfaction and harness our proven project management skills to ensure delivery on time, on cost and to specification.

Previous projects include:

  • Turret upgrades as part of vehicle upgrade programmes
  • Appliqué armour for re-roled vehicles
  • Fitting electronic countermeasures equipment

Working in collaboration with a range of specialist partners, we pride ourselves on our capability to design, engineer and fit the right survivability solution for our customers. As a vehicle-neutral supplier, we are able to provide survivability solutions for a wide range of vehicles and work with OEMs from around the world, ensuring that our solution is tailored as closely as possible to our customers’ requirements.

We can provide complete solutions for all vehicle survivability needs, including:

  • Vehicle up-armouring
  • Integrated armour solutions
  • Blast protection seating arrangements
  • Improved stowage systems to prevent injury from improperly-stowed kit
  • Ballistic protection systems
  • Electronic counter measure systems

We recognise the importance of keeping both user and equipment in the best condition possible, so our solutions are designed with the comfort and safety of the user and the protection of equipment as the utmost priority.

All of our vehicle survivability systems are supplied with comprehensive support, including training packages with training needs analysis, as well as contractor support when deployed on operations, if required.

Marshall, in partnership with RMMV MAN, developed the armour system for the shelter on this Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) vehicle. Working closely with the vehicle manufacturer, we developed a solution that would provide maximum protection to the crew while carrying out their EOD work.
