Celebrating the C-130
This day, 23 August, 1954, Lockheed Martin conducted the first flight test on its new C-130 Hercules. To celebrate this momentous occasion, we are launching a competition to find the very best photographs of C-130 aircraft from across the globe.
We’ve been working on this iconic platform since 1966, supporting the RAF and numerous international air forces and never tire of seeing this aircraft going about its work, protecting people in critical situations around the globe.
If you’ve snapped a C-130 we’d love to see it. It could be landing, taking off, being loaded with cargo or personnel, in flight, in daylight or at night. Fine weather, bad weather, inside, outside, full bodied or partial, we don’t mind, we just want to see what you’ve got.
Once in a Lifetime Prize
The prize is the unique opportunity to photograph aircraft from our frontline chalet at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT), on Sunday 18 July 2021.
