ABOUT THE ROLE
Job Purpose:
Supporting the development and execution of Company flight test programmes, from developmental testing on heavily modified aircraft to post maintenance test flying, as well as continuation and currency flying in Company aircraft. Ensuring the continued safe operations of aircraft with duties including supervision of flying operations, flight safety, and regulatory compliance.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of the Electrical Integration Engineering Team, you will be responsible for producing Wiring Diagrams, Harness drawings and all related harness design and installation activities.
You will have experience in defining / coordinating interface requirements with other departments, customers, and off-site partners, for all necessary system / integration tasks.
You have a sense of responsibility and have good integration / organizational skills.
Experience in Wiring / harness design, installation and electrical integration.
Experience with ECAD tools and processes.
Excellent Understanding of overall design / integration process, from initial definition, through all different stages, to completion on aircraft.
Thorough understanding of configuration / document control.
Good understanding of EWIS, AS 50881, ARP4404, ARP1870, MIL-HDBK-83575, and other industry standards and practices.
Knowledge of several electrical integration related aircraft domains (i.e. Design, Planning, Manufacture, Production, logistics, etc.)
Experience in definition, coordination of all necessary parts, components, installation and interface requirements with relevant departments, customers & partners, to ensure safe, efficient / cost effective, compatible design.

Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group are expanding their Flight Dynamics Group to support a number of current and future aircraft modification programmes. We are seeking an experienced individual to join as an Aerodynamics Engineer.

The successful candidate will be employed on major projects and have the ability to develop and evaluate engineering solutions to meet the needs of customers worldwide on a variety of civil and military aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessing the impact of modifications on aircraft performance, stability and control
Determination of aerodynamic loads using semi empirical methods
Numerical modelling using tools such as Excel, Matlab and STAR CCM
Specifying requirements for flight testing
Analysis of flight test data
Compiling and checking engineering reports
Managing flight dynamics tasks within a multi-disciplinary project

Experience & Qualifications:

Candidates will have significant experience in the aerospace industry with either a degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent experience. The successful candidate's experience and skills will include the following:

Familiarity with relevant parts of the Certification Regulations such as CS 25 and Def Stan 00-970
Experience of using semi empirical methods (e.g. ESDU datasheets) for assessing aircraft aerodynamic aspects
Numerical modelling using tools such as Excel and Matlab
A good appreciation of CFD, ideally as an experienced user
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience of managing project work packages to tight timescales throughout the full life cycle of a project
Experience of requirements capture and management would be an advantage

Candidates whose experience is biased towards aeroelasticity, but with some aerodynamic experience, will also be considered.

Job Purpose:
Reporting to and acting on behalf of the Spares and Logistics Manager within the Customer Support Business, to work alongside the Spares Coordinator and Spares and Obsolescence Engineer, dealing with all aspects of Spares Estimating and Pricing, Spares Shipping, Customer Liaison, Expediting and Obsolescence Management.
Key Tasks:
Process Spares requests, ensuring that Spares have been demanded against the correct version of Engineering Drawings.
Identify availability of Spares from in-house then external sources.
Undertake Military and Commercial price enquiries and tenders.
Provide accurate cost estimating of spares.
Place orders with In-house or external suppliers.
Liaise with Production Planning and Design staff to ensure on-time manufacturing in-line with Sales Order schedules.

Our Canadian office in Abbotsford, BC requires one Structural Design Engineer, registered E.I.T. or P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists BC or similar accredited body, with 2+ years' experience in aircraft structural design. As a member of an engineering team, the Structural Design Engineer will be required to design and analyze repairs and/or modifications (design changes) on aircraft structures. Extensive experience using design tools such as AutoCAD or CATIA for small/medium design projects under strict quality control is required. Additionally, experience with stress and fatigue analysis of aircraft structures is required for this position. Finite Element analysis experience will be considered an asset.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS
 A Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree from an accredited university or equivalent knowledge gained through other forms of education and training
 Ability to access and interpret mechanical and structural drawings and process specifications
 Ability to communicate and write clear technical reports
 Excellent communication & interpersonal skills: fluent written and oral English is mandatory and competence in French is beneficial

ABOUT THE ROLE
Systems Engineering is widely accepted across industry as a methodology for the efficient design and delivery of complex projects over their life cycle. Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group (MADG) is seeking to increase capacity in this area and is looking to take on four Systems Engineering practitioners with a range of skills and experience. The positions will focus on the timeliness and quality of engineering outputs whilst successfully delivering the engineering associated with complex, high-value, low-volume special mission's aircraft projects.

In this role you will be required to provide advice to our engineers on systems engineering methodologies to enable us to achieve our objectives. Working with our Head of Systems Engineering you will need to demonstrate an ability to take on and lead a range of systems engineering activities and be able to plan your work using project management methods. Candidates may also be required to contribute to business development initiatives by assisting with bids when required.

Interested candidates should possess an engineering or physical science degree and be ready to apply for chartered status with a relevant professional body if you have not already achieved it. It goes without saying you will have a passion for the discipline of Systems Engineering and a desire to share your passion with the team. Your principle duties will include:
Promote the implementation of Systems Engineering across the MADG Engineering function.
Possess an in-depth knowledge of the standards and specification appropriate to the discipline of Systems Engineering.
Apply a pragmatic and best practice Systems Engineering techniques to support our projects and business development activities.
Application and development of the MADG Business Management System (BMS) procedures in the conduct of your work.
Work effectively across the matrix and deliver bottom-line performance collaboratively.
Challenge the status quo, bring new ideas to improve engineering quality, productivity and timeliness of delivery.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a qualified Systems Engineer with hands-on experience in the Aerospace and Defence sectors. Experience outside of Aerospace and Defence in other relevant sectors will be an advantage. We are seeking people with the ability to make a difference and pro-actively lead our Systems Engineering approach to large and complex project work.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of our on-going development Marshall ADG has a requirement for a Technical Author based at Cambridge Airport. We provide technical publications support to the UK and overseas air forces and civil operators. This comprises sustainment activities as well as the development of Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) in support of our aircraft modification programmes. Responsibilities include the preparation of supplemental data to on-aircraft maintenance publications and the incorporation of internal and external customer requests. Although part of the tech pubs team you will also be able to work off your own initiative and be responsible for meeting budget and deadlines.

ABOUT YOU
The role is varied and you will be working to a wide range of specifications for both civil and military customers - you will enjoy the flexibility and demands this presents and take a pragmatic view as priorities and deadlines change. In addition to sound Technical Authoring skills you will have:
Experience working as a Technical Author in the aerospace sector
Knowledge and experience of Avionics systems in both civil and military applications
A good understanding of civil and military specifications for technical publications
Detailed working knowledge of structured FrameMaker
Proven IT skills and in particular you will be conversant with the Microsoft Office suite

The is role will be responsible for incorporating changes from routine requests and modifications into the publications within deadlines set by the customer or Publications Supervisor. The Technical Publications Author / Illustrator will be expected to deliver the publications in the specified format, visit customer locations, and attend meetings, as required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
An understanding of Configuration Management and the incorporation of amendments into existing military technical publications;
Experience with FrameMaker software would be beneficial;
Experience interpreting engineering drawings for transition into publications would be an asset;
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills: fluent written and oral English is mandatory and proficiency in Technical French would be an advantage;
Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Key Tasks:

ABOUT YOU
Experience:

You will be a qualified accountant with several years of management at a senior level.
The ideal candidate will have had significant experience of working in a projects based organisation, delivering full financial reporting for the business unit including overseas subsidiaries and a UK statutory entity.
You will have a track record of leadership of finance teams, working with a coaching style across a mix of team members both qualified and part qualified.
You should be able to demonstrate where you have delivered process improvement for the organisations in which you have worked.

Key Skills/Competencies:

Strong technical ability and post qualification experience, preferably with proven experience in the area of long term contract accounting;

Job Purpose:
We are looking to recruit a Project Accountant in the ALS business unit to support an increase in long-term projects undertaken by ALS.

Key Tasks:
Responsibility for all financial aspects of allocated projects; ensuring effective budgeting, forecasting, management and reporting of the projects, including consolidation into business unit results on a monthly basis
Business partnering with associated project teams, providing finance leadership, governance, advice and information to support project managers (PMs) and programme directors (PDs)

Job Purpose:
Reporting to Manufacturing and Assembly Production Management.

Key Tasks:
Audit components, sub-assemblies and finished products at process stages to ensure the delivered items meet the appropriate specification and company workmanship standards.
Conduct inspections of supplied components and finished products against drawings and appropriate specifications.
Investigate any quality issues to identify route cause and raise appropriate corrective action paperwork and ensure issues are addressed.

Undertake calibration of personnel hand tools.

A vacancy exists for an Operations Maintenance Planning Engineer.

Working as part of a high-performing team and reporting to the Maintenance Planning Team Leader, the duties of the Maintenance Planning Engineer are as follows:

To create and maintain schedules of work for aircraft inputs, to meet customer requirements and in accordance with the approved data and the applicable regulatory requirements, made up of progressively certifiable work cards.

To create and update work cards, adding rough-cut scheduling information and assessing target hours (linked to the commercial estimate) and resource type for each work stage.

To maintain configuration control of allocated work packs by ensuring that any required up-issues of the maintenance schedule are accurately reflected.

To respond to shop floor queries relating to Maintenance Planning information.

To attend internal and external meetings as required to support team or contractual requirements.

We are looking for an experienced Sales Executive to join our Advanced Composites team, it is an excellent opportunity for you to join a dynamic business and play a key role in contributing to and supporting the continued growth within Advanced Composites. On joining the team you will be primarily focused on developing naval and marine customers from the growing composites market; which is worth circa $10.4bn dollars per year (globally), taking advantage of our ongoing Capability Development Plans.

Key Tasks:
Work with the Marketing Executive, to achieve sustainable growth in the composites business stream of £24M by 2024.
Engagement with potential customers (internal and external) and partners for business development activities. Proactively identifying, anticipating and shaping the requirement of customers in order to secure profitable business.
Carry out analysis of growth opportunities through market research, trade exhibitions and close customer relationships, identifying market gaps and early opportunities as identified in the Advanced Composites strategy.
